For example, we recently completed a very challenging "Check a Trade" office renovation / sail installation in Southampton, where we created and erected over eighteen big sails measuring 3m x 5m utilising our Eco-friendly "recycled plastic bottle" MonoTense materials.
We were tasked with designing and installing sails around air-conditioning ducts, around corners, over seven-meter-high stairs and ramps, and through non-load-bearing walls in this instance. At the same time, a unified design with repeating attractive sails pattern is provided. This was one of our more difficult designs and instals, due to the restricted access and timing constraints.
However, our installation crew finished the work after three straight fourteen-hour days. Just two days before to the relocation of Check a Trades call centre workers. The final design improved the office's harmony while also providing much-needed anti-glare. Permitting personnel to access their desktop displays securely. Additionally, the sails significantly reduced solar heat intake, producing a more pleasant and appealing work environment.
Another challenging refurbishment job was for Haven Holidays in Craig Tara, where we were tasked with designing and installing up to fourteen big multi-color (Blue and White) ceiling sails. This was for the purpose of refurbishing one of their new indoor themed play centres.
To overcome installation challenges and minimise interference with hung electrical cable trays and other protrusions, we devised and built a tensile cable net that was suspended from and fastened to above I-beams. We were able to install an undulating tension cable net and sails in a predetermined pattern using these stainless-steel down-stay arms that we built. The ultimate result created the illusion of sails flying in the breeze, while concealing ugly electrical connectors and cable lines above.
